The Festival of Football celebrates everything that’s good about the beautiful game. From a wide range of Free to Enter tournaments through to an array of football related events, it’s a chance for all lovers of the game to enjoy a day of fun and help raise funds to support Sliding Tackle’s FREE projects. Tournament The main event is a series of tournaments for all ages and abilities: Mixed Groups - Age groups are based on 2025/26 season U8 5 a-side U9 7 a-side U10 7 a-side U11 9 a-side U12 9 a-side U13 11 a-side U14 11 a-side Girls - Age groups are based on 2025/26 season U10 7 a-side U12 9 a-side FREE entry for teams, however we do ask that each teams donates 10 old pairs of children football boots. These will either be distributed to children struggling to buy football boots or sold to help fund our ongoing FREE projects with children from low-income families. The tournament takes place at Long Lane, Attenborough, NG9 6BQ, home of Attenborough Colts FC.
